A masterful but publicity-shy society architect, David Adler (1882-1949) crafted over 45 elegant Classical homes, many still cherished today. Trained in Europe, he designed grand estates for America’s top entrepreneurs during the Great House Era—a time of butlers, chauffeurs, and lavish service. At least 12 of his works are on the National Register of Historic Places. This four-part series offers rare architectural footage and exclusive interviews from four of his iconic homes.
Champagne is the world’s most celebrated wine, with a legacy of royalty, revolution, and resilience. This series uncorks its remarkable story through vintage and newly refreshed footage, featuring French experts who create champagne and preserve its storied past. Discover the influence of monks, soldiers, Prohibition, and the visionaries who shaped its sparkling success. From Versailles to ancient cellars, this eight-part series offers insights into champagne’s rise from a local wine to a global symbol of celebration.
